AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police said after a chase overnight Thursday into Friday, the driver of a vehicle crashed into a building. The building was the Travis County Civil Courthouse off Guadalupe Street in downtown Austin.APD said on Friday at approximately 12:22 a.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 700 block of East 11th Street.According to police, that incident resulted in a chase that ended with the driver of the vehicle crashing into a building in the 1000 block of Guadalupe Street.APD said four people were found in the vehicle, and they were later taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Austin weather history: The hottest, coldest and wettest St. Patrick's Days

AUSTIN (KXAN) — What kind of weather does Austin typically see on St. Patrick's Day?A high of 74, a low of 52 and about 0.09" of rain. But what about the extremes?The National Weather Service has weather data for Austin dating back to the 1890s.KXAN dug through the archives to find the hottest, coldest and wettest St. Patrick's Days in history.Austin has never hit 90° on March 17, but we've come close. Camp Mabry — Austin's official weather reporting site — got to 89° on St. Patrick's Day in 1972, making it the hottest in recorded history.Several other years have seen highs in the mid-80s, most recently in 2018.On the other end, eight St. Patrick's Days in Austin failed to reach 60°. The coolest March 17 in history was in 2000, with the high temperature only reaching 51° at Camp Mabry, well below the average of 74°.And what about low temperatures? ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Thursday, Alexander T. Wilson, 30, was arrested on two charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Impersonation, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. A tow truck driver on I-90 observed what appeared to be a handgun being thrown from Wilson's vehicle and notified another trooper assisting them with an unrelated matter. RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Rensselaer mayor Michael Stammel said Friday that the water main break in Troy is affecting the water supply in Rensselaer. The break happened Friday morning near the corner of 4th and Federal Streets. A CDTA bus was stuck.The mayor said all residential and commercial users must conserve water until further notice. The mayor says that currently there is no water being pumped into the city's storage tank. The water level was at about 38 feet at noon on Friday. The mayor says the city usually consumes about a foot of water from the tank an hour.The restriction took effect immediately and will be in place for 24 hours.
