DENVER (KDVR) -- Voting started Monday for the 2023 Coolest Thing Made in Colorado people's choice award contest.The contest is held by the Colorado Chamber of Commerce. It was first held in 2022.Coloradans can choose three products from a list of 10 finalists. That's why the Children's Hospital Colorado's Concussion Program is leading the charge in new protocols for how to treat concussions and keep your kids safe. A group of student musicians are hitting the high notes in more ways than one. Police are searching for a burglary suspect accused of breaking into a South Florida bakery. The incident happened Sunday morning at We We’s Bakery, located at 7420 Biscayne Blvd.Surveillance footage from the bakery showed a man on a bike as he pulled up the shop.The staff told 7News that he waited a while until the coast was clear, then came around a barrier, smashed the glass and walked around the store until he left with what he wanted.The suspect also left a few things behind. “It’s a bakery, what do you find here?” said Mareu, the store manager.The bakery burglar didn’t come for baguettes and brownies but rather for dollar bills and checks that were in the store’s register.The thief smashed the bakery’s window and helped himself to what was behind the counter. A 24-year-old man who police say escaped custody in Marlboro over the weekend was arraigned Monday on nearly two dozen charges following his re-arrest in Milford on Sunday. Isaac Rivera was first arrested for what prosecutors said was a violent attack on his mother and responding officers. Prosecutors said Rivera later escaped authorities while receiving treatment at UMass Memorial Health Marlboro Hospital.Days after his escape, court paperwork on Monday revealed new allegations in the case.According to paperwork, Rivera was taken to Marlboro Hospital on Saturday after he complained of chest pains following his original arrest.
