CHICAGO — The family of a woman murdered in 2019 is calling on authorities in Indiana to put her accused killer back in jail.Draw Carter is accused of killing Jessica Flores back in 2019 and is scheduled to be in court Thursday. He was released early this year due to a law in Indiana that protects defendants while awaiting trial.The car Flores was last seen in was found burned in a Chicago Alley. Court documents obtained by the Tribune also found a large amount of blood in the back seat of the car. Police believe Flores was killed in Gary, Indiana. Police found Flores' remains in a Gary park in 2020. Chicago man charged after fatal shooting in Washington Heights last year Carter was in jail but was released in January due to the Indiana Criminal Rule 4 law that prevents people from staying in jail more than six months before they get a trial.Flores' family will be at the Lake County Superior Courthouse Thursday morning to ask a judge to put Carter back in jail until he stands trial.Chicago man charged after fatal shooting on South Side last year

CHICAGO — A Chicago man faces felony charges after a shooting that left a man dead in Washington Heights last year.Christopher Haynes, 34, of Chicago, faces first degree murder charges after a 38-year-old man was shot and killed on August 13, 2022. Rapper MoneySign Suede dies in California prison stabbing Haynes was arrested by police on Wednesday in the 3500 block of West Van Buren Street and was identified as the second offender who participated in the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old man who was driving om the 500 block of West 95th Street last year. Meta is shutting down its Facebook Watch original programs, and "Red Table Talk" was the last remaining show to be canceled. WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) – Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell will sign a mutual cooperation agreement between Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency or KOTRA and Williamson County at the Grand Opening of the KOTRA Global Partnering Center in Austin on Thursday, the county announced Tuesday. The county said the agreement was approved by the Williamson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday. According to the announcement, Williamson County is the first county in the United States to approve such an agreement. The signing will follow a visit a delegation from Williamson County made to South Korea last week. According to the county, the delegation toured Samsung’s fabrication plant in Pyeongtaek City. MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Following an investigation, a 16-year-old was arrested and charged in a stabbing that happened Sunday in Malta. The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office said the victim was a 17-year-old treated at Albany Medical Center. Deputies say the victim is expected to survive.
