1 seriously injured after stabbing in south Austin, officials say AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One person was seriously injured after a reported stabbing in south Austin Saturday, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.Shortly before 9 p.m., the Austin Police Department and ATCEMS medics responded to the 1200 block of South Lamar Boulevard, an APD watch commander said.Medics transported an unidentified adult to the hospital with serious injuries.It was not immediately clear what led to the incident, and there was no information about a possible suspect or an arrest, according to police.The incident remained under investigation Saturday.

Bryan Slaton could be expelled from Texas House over allegations of misconduct AUSTIN (KXAN) — A month-long investigation inside the Texas House led to a stunning announcement Saturday, as its findings recommended the expulsion of Rep. Bryan Slaton over an alleged sexual relationship with an intern and other misconduct allegations.Rep. Bryan Slaton, a former youth and family minister, represents District 2, Hopkins, Hunt, and Van Zandt counties in East Texas. He is serving his second term in the Texas House of Representatives.Rep. Andrew Murr, chair of the House General Investigating Committee, made the announcement on the Texas House Floor. He said the committee vetted several complaints that claimed Rep.
