Mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, who led a brief armed rebellion against Russia earlier this year, was on the passenger list of a private jet that crashed Wednesday, killing all 10 people on board, emergency officials said. It wasn’t immediately clear if Prigozhin was on the plane. The crash immediately raises suspicions since the fate of the founder of the Wagner private military company has been the subject of intense speculation ever since he mounted the mutiny. The Kremlin said he would be exiled to Belarus, but the mercenary chief, whose troops were some of the best fighting forces for Russia in Ukraine, has since reportedly popped up in Russia. The crash also comes after Russian media reported that a top general linked to Prigozhin was dismissed from his position as commander of the air force.A plane carrying three pilots and seven passengers that was en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg went down more than 100 kilometers (60 miles) north of the capital, according to offici...Wagner boss Prigozhin believed killed in jet crash in Russia

Exactly two months after his failed coup, Wagner mercenary group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin is believed to have died on Wednesday after his private jet crashed in flames on an internal flight within Russia. Speculation is rife that Russian President Vladimir Putin — who is notoriously unforgiving of traitors and accused Prigozhin of “treason” in June — ordered the downing of the aircraft. It comes only a day after Russian media announced the firing of Sergei Surovikin, the former commander of Moscow’s war effort in Ukraine, who has not been seen in public since the aborted Wagner coup. A former loyalist who was dubbed “Putin’s chef” for his role as a catering executive supplying the Kremlin, Prigozhin became embittered toward the Russian government’s handling of the war. In late June, his uprising commanded 24-hour global coverage after he seized the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don and ordered a column of troops toward Moscow.Putin himself...15 year old charged with murder, arraigned as adult following deadly stabbing in Lynn

Manager Brandon Hyde is expected to address it during his pregame media session Wednesday evening.“Sometimes, you don’t bounce back the way you want to,” Flaherty said Wednesday without elaborating further. “Throwing yesterday, just didn’t quite feel like I bounced back, and sometimes, those are the hard decisions to make especially when you want to take the ball every time out. Just one of those things.”Baltimore acquired Flaherty from the St. Louis Cardinals on the cusp of the MLB trade deadline for three top 20 prospects.
