(KRON) – Two individuals were arrested for stealing over $4,500 of merchandise from two different businesses. The South San Francisco Police Department investigated retail thefts at two large commercial businesses on the 400 block of South Airport Boulevard and the 1600 block of El Camino Real. SF man arrested for stealing over $1,000 of merchandise and carrying firearm The suspects stole over $4,500 worth of merchandise. The SSFPD and the Daly City Police Department collaborated to locate the suspect’s vehicle on Saturday and two suspects were taken into custody. According to police, the stolen property was recovered. (BCN) -- The adoption of discriminatory censorship laws in public schools has prevented conversations about racism and gender inequities in classrooms, a report published Thursday in the National Education Policy Center found.These laws also increase the risks of race and sex-based harassment, while exposing educators to "formal sanctions and social ostracization," according to "How Discriminatory Censorship Laws Imperil Public Education," written by Jonathan Feingold, from Boston University School of Law and Joshua Weishart, from West Virginia University College of Law. A man died Thursday after losing control of his vehicle and driving off of a road in Woodbridge, Virginia, before crashing last Saturday.Prince William County police said that on Nov. 25 at 7:50 p.m., 35-year-old Edward Wayne Mudd, Jr., of Nokesville, was driving a 1994 Honda Civic at a high rate of speed westbound on Davis Ford Road, when his car crossed into the eastbound lanes and then left the roadway.His car then struck a tree, police said. A D.C. man was sentenced to 35 years in prison for a shooting that happened outside the Clyde’s restaurant in Chevy Chase, Maryland, last November.Prosecutors said 30-year-old David Lee Brown III was sentenced to 55 years in prison, with all but 35 years suspended.
