PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — It took 14 holes, but Scottie Scheffler finally made a birdie Saturday in the PGA Championship.The third round has been a battle among Corey Conners and Viktor Hovland, who started the rainy day tied with Scheffler. Brooks Koepka has moved into contention. He was one shot behind with two holes to play. Protesters came together in downtown Fort Lauderdale to take part in a rally for reproductive rights.Demonstrators representing several nonprofit organizations marched to City Hall along North Andrews Avenue on Saturday afternoon with their message against abortion restrictions.Protesters said they want the issue on the 2024 ballot.“It’s about women having control over their own body. That’s the bottom line,” said protester Leslie Sheffield. “This is human rights, reproductive rights; this isn’t right or wrong. This is civil rights.”Florida Gov. Scattered showers with occasional downpours will continue through midnight tonight. Some thunder is also possible, especially past midnight as the cold front moves in. NORWELL — Isabel Bresnahan’s main focus at Saturday’s waterlogged South Shore Twilight Invitational was to maintain her form in the 400 hurdles on the slick Norwell High track.The Ayer-Shirley freshman did that and a whole lot more as she blitzed the field with a winning time of 67.38 seconds. Bresnahan not only clinched a gold medal but she was on the extremely short list of athletes who set personal bests in the rain swept meet. Bresnahan’s time bettered her school-record mark and left the young talent with a big smile.“I wasn’t in my head too much about it (school record),” she said. “I’ve never run in the rain before. The Boston City Council is making headway on redistricting, but persistent disagreement continues to cast doubt on the body’s ability to reach consensus on a new map, and thus avoid an election delay, by the May 30 deadline.Four different redistricting maps were brought forward for discussion Friday, but Ruthzee Louijeune, chair of the Council’s civil rights committee, opted to dismiss proposals from Mayor Michelle Wu and two other councilors, in favor of using her own map as a “starting point.”“My map makes the fewest number of changes when compared to the baseline map and the enacted, now enjoined, map,” Louijeune said.Louijeune said her map was created with this month’s federal court ruling in mind.
